Jakarta – The Kompolnas Awards 2025 took place on October 16 at the Merlyn Park Hotel in Jakarta, honoring police units across Indonesia for their professionalism, transparency, and excellence in public service. The South Sulawesi Regional Police was named the best Type A regional force, while the South Kalimantan Regional Police received the award for best Type B. At the district level, the Kerinci Police District in Jambi was recognized as the best, and the Batu Ampar Police Precinct in the Riau Islands was awarded as the top precinct nationwide.
Other units also received recognition for achievements in law enforcement, public service, and digital innovation. The Medan Kota Police Precinct in North Sumatra was awarded as the best Type A precinct in law enforcement, while the Malang Police District in East Java was commended for its innovations in public service.
Kompolnas Chair General (Ret.) Djamari Chaniago emphasized that the awards are not merely ceremonial but serve as encouragement for the police to continuously improve performance and strengthen public trust. He highlighted the importance of healthy competition among units as a way to raise overall professionalism.
The awards carry significance on multiple levels. For the police, they provide a benchmark for evaluating and motivating performance improvements. For the public, they offer a transparent indicator of which units are excelling in service and accountability. For the government, they demonstrate a commitment to good governance and accountability in the security sector.
Ultimately, the Kompolnas Awards 2025 underscore that accountability, innovation, and quality of public service are now central criteria in evaluating police performance. By recognizing excellence, the awards aim to foster a culture of responsiveness, transparency, and human‑centered policing across Indonesia.
