Disway Awards 2025: Local Brands Must Go Global

Jakarta — At the Disway Awards 2025, held on December 4 at Hotel Sheraton Jakarta, Founder Dahlan Iskan emphasized the importance of pushing Indonesian local brands to compete internationally. He stated that the awards are not merely ceremonial but part of a larger mission to elevate national brands to global recognition.

“Indonesia must have more brands that are globally known. Building a brand is not easy, and it must be appreciated,” Dahlan said. He also stressed that the awards must remain free from transactional practices, underscoring that reputation and credibility are at stake.

The selection process was conducted by Infovesta Utama, a research firm with two decades of experience, ensuring professionalism and integrity. This year’s awards recognized 522 popular brands across Indonesia, based on surveys of 19,000 respondents in 20 major cities using multistage area random sampling.
