Jakarta — MedcoEnergi has been honored with seven Patra Nirbhaya Karya Awards from Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), recognizing its outstanding safety and health performance across oil and gas operations. The awards were presented during the 2025 Oil and Gas Safety Forum organized by the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at LEMIGAS, Jakarta.
The recognition reflects MedcoEnergi’s ability to maintain safe and sustainable operations across its portfolio. The awards include achievements in the Zero Lost Time Injury category, highlighting the company’s success in operating without incidents that disrupt productivity or compromise worker safety.
Seven MedcoEnergi entities received honors across three categories:
- Utama (10 million safe work hours): Medco E&P Grissik Ltd., PT Medco E&P Malaka, Medco Energi Sampang Pty. Ltd.
- Madya (5 million safe work hours): PT Medco E&P Lematang, Medco Energi Madura Offshore Pty Ltd.
- Pratama (2.5 million safe work hours): Medco E&P Tarakan, Medco Energi Bangkanai Ltd.
Ronald Gunawan, President Director of Medco E&P, emphasized that the achievement is the result of long‑term commitment from employees and partners to prioritize safety. “Safety is the foundation of sustainable performance. Operational success can only be achieved when every step is carried out responsibly,” he stated.
MedcoEnergi continues to strengthen its Safety Leadership and occupational health and safety (K3) management systems across all operations. This includes strict supervision of work standards and proactive risk preparedness, aligning with the company’s vision to be a leading sustainable energy and natural resources company in Southeast Asia.
The Patra Nirbhaya Karya Awards serve as a government recognition for oil and gas companies that successfully uphold the highest safety standards while fostering a culture of responsibility.
